Pigeon Shooting Masterclass with Will Garfit

Due to popular demand we have added another pigeon shooting masterclass on Thursday 22nd September 2016 at Long Acres Shooting Ground near Cambridge.

This is your opportunity to learn all about pigeon shooting with Will Garfit, one of the most famous pigeon shooters of our time.

This unique opportunity focuses on all the key elements of successful pigeon shooting and the chance to shoot 75 to 80 simulated pigeons with instruction. This exiting masterclass is being taught by Will Garfit, a man who hardly needs an introduction, but just in case… Will has spent his entire life as a countryman with a passion for observing wildlife. There are few people in the country who can have shot more pigeons than he has.

Regarded as one of the most accurate shots of his generation, Will’s knowledge about pigeon shooting is second to none and he has been writing a monthly article about his fascinating pigeon shooting forays in Shooting Gazette for the last 20 years.

PLUS: Sam Grice shooting instructor and author of acclaimed shooting book Ahead of the Game, and his team, will be there on the day to offer help and instruction

Who is this course aimed at?

If you are a reasonably experienced game, pigeon or clay shooter who wants to make the most of the pigeon shooting opportunities that come your way then this is your chance. You don’t need to be George Digweed but it’s unlikely you will get the most out of the day if you are a complete beginner.

The day

9:45 am: Meet at Long Acres Shooting Ground for coffee and welcome

10:15 – midday: Demonstration and discussion to include reconnaissance, field craft, hide building, decoys, guns and cartridges etc.

Midday: Lunch break (please bring own lunch)

12:45 – 4:00pm: Clay shooting on a 75-80 clay specially designed pigeon shooting layout with instruction from Will Garfit and Long Acres owner Sam Grice

Cost

The cost of the Pigeon Shooting Masterclass is only £125 per person. Places are strictly limited to 24, so book early to avoid disappointment. Please bring your own fibrewad cartridges. Refreshments will be available throughout the day.
