Shortlisted artists competing for the £10,000 Wildlife
Artist of The Year prize fill the main gallery with artwork and sculpture from
around the world. Everything is for sale and profits will go to support
endangered wildlife. There is a stunning variety of creatures from the exotic
to the domestic represented with media and techniques to appeal to every taste.
The North Gallery plays host to works by three generations
of the supremely talented Shepherd family. David Shepherd CBE is showing
original works and limited editions alongside watercolours by Mandy Shepherd
and the stunning mixed media of Emily Lamb.
Jeremy Houghton’s ‘Urban Safari’ collection can be seen in
the Threadneedle Space. Already in the collections of Buckingham Palace, St
James’ Palace, The Royal Collection of Luxembourg and Chatsworth House Houghton
is now artist in residence at Highfrove for HRH Prince Charles. A hugely
collectable contemporary artist and free to see at the Mall Galleries this week.
